He was predeceased by: his parents, George Carr and Mary Carr (Norris); his siblings, Betty Spriggs, Rachel Blackmon, Arlene Segars and Paul Carr; and his son-in-law Lanny Gaines.
He is survived by: his wife Eula May Carr (Metz); his children, Joyce Burnett (Dan) of Mississippi, Doug Carr of South Carolina, Judy Gaines of Anderson and Dwight Carr (Jennifer) of Anderson; his grandchildren, Julianne Burnett (Juan), Jennifer Hartman (Christian), Daniel Gaines (Abigail Ploetz), Leah Tranbarger (George) and Rachael Martin (Jamie); his great grandchildren, Sebastian Hartman, Piper Tranbarger, Morgan and Wiley Martin; and his brother George Carr (Marjorie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be live streamed on the Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home's Facebook page starting at 1 p. m. Health precautions for the safety of family and friends will include facial coverings and social distancing at all times.
Memorial contributions may be given to Central Wesleyan Church or The Christian Center.
