He was predeceased by: his parents, John Patrick "Jack" Dashler and Dorothy Garretson Dashler (Garretson); his stepfather Virgil E. Dowden; and his sister Glenda Dashler Safstrom. He is survived by: his wife Gwen Dashler (Boggs); his children, Joni Dashler Cowan (Daryl) of Pendleton and Rodney Dashler of Florida; his nephew Josh; his grandchildren, Alec Cowan of Anderson, Ryle Cowan, Nicholas Cowan of Pendleton and Kaitlyn Cowan of Pendleton; his aunt Kay Garretson Hedges (Harry) of Anderson; and his brother-in-law Daniel "Danny" Safstrom of Anderson.
