He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Bottomley and Loretta Bottomley (Alles); and his brother-in-law Jack Watson. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Bottomley (Weiss) of Anderson; his children, Stephen Bottomley (Lori), David C. Bottomley and Elizabeth Ice; his grandchildren, Sarah Holmes (Josh), Daniel Bottomley, Benjamin Ice and Ashley Ice; his great grandchildren, Ruby and Isabelle Holmes; and his sisters, Rita Watson, Martha Spataro and Mary K. Gumberts (Alan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions may be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Wabash College.
