He is survived by: his wife Verla Ashton (Stephens) of Anderson; his children, Vincent Ashton (Chrysalis) of Wayland and Lora Smith of Anderson; his brother Curtis Ashton (Sandy) of Anderson; his grandchildren, Nate Smith (Precious Baker), Cate Smith, Zavier Bennett-Taylor, Quintin Bennett-Taylor, Jacob Ashton, Archer Bennett-Taylor and Lucas Ashton; and his niece Jessa Ashton.
