He was predeceased by: his wife Marsha Abshire; his parents, George Abshire and Rosetta Abshire; his sister Dianna Hullinger; and his significant other Lou Groyon.
He is survived by: his children, Vance Abshire, MD (Megan, MD) of Arizona and Valerie Wendling (Greg) of Anderson; his grandchildren, Eric of Nina Lou, DO, Karen Abshire, Michelle Abshire, Brooke Wendling and Heather Augsburger (Ben); and his brother Larry Abshire (Claudia).
