It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Patricia Ann Smith of Anderson, Indiana, born in Alexandria, Indiana, who passed away on May 28, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Dwight Smith; her parents, Alonzo Highbaugh and Nellie Highbaugh (Ault); and her siblings, George Highbaugh, Robert Highbaugh and Rosemary Scott.

She is survived by: her children, Karen Landes (Robert) of Anderson, Terry Smith of Angola, Cathy Danner (Michael) of Anderson and Emily Eskew (Randy) of Anderson; her grandchildren, Alan Landes (Tandi), Lori Schulz (Scott), Kaley Smith (Shannon), Kara Holman (Michael), Eric Danner (Lisa), Amy Danner, Amanda Spencer (Richard), Alissa Prater (Tyler), Jessie Eskew and Nellie Crocker (Bryce); her great grandchildren, Olivia, Anna, Clara, Cohen, Jasmine, Bailey, Kendall, Emmey, Cayda, Mac, Sam (Kasey), Nicholas (Bridgette), Lexi, Brynden, Lyla, Grady, Kyan, Nori, Henry and Hudson; her great great grandchildren, Lucas and Levi; her brother Bud Highbaugh (Cynthia); and her sisters-in-law, Naomi Highbaugh and Geraldine Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.

“We first met Patty in 1973 when we moved across the street from her and Dwight. They soon became precious friends to our family. We moved away but our paths crossed again when we began going to Ovid. Patty will be greatly missed, but I know our paths will cross again when she meets us at the gates of Heaven with that beautiful smile. Our deepest sympathy to all the family for your loss.
