He was predeceased by: his parents, William Beard and Myrtle Beard (Johnson); and his siblings, George Beard, Bob Beard and Wanda Kieke (Beard).
He is survived by: his wife Louetta (Hency); his daughters, Nancy Lockhart (Jeff) and Diane Vargo (Mike); his grandchildren, Jacob Lockhart (Christina), Kyle Lockhart (Hannah) and Maggie Lockhart; and his brother Jim Beard (Eileen). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
