It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michelle Suzanne Hewitt of Anderson, Indiana, who passed away on July 11, 2023, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Jon VanMatre; her grandparents, Robert Dew (Bill), Elmer T. VanMatre and Maxine VanMatre; and her pet Patrone.
She is survived by: her husband Tracy D. Hewitt; her mother Karen Spitzmesser (Howard); her grandmother Vera Dew Benefiel; her children, Stacie Shields (George), Andrea Hewitt, Caitlin Hewitt, Sage Hewitt (Ashton), Trey Hewitt (Maycee), Olivia Hewitt (Konner) and Sophia Dulworth (Nathan); her grandchildren, MacKenzie McGuire (Shane), Zoie Hewitt, Ethan Hewitt, Aiden Hewitt, Zayveon Boone and Jerry Cole Stephenson; her sisters, Jennifer Spitzmesser Zimmerman, Heather Ligon and Abby West; her nieces, Avery and Kaylee; her nephew Nathan; her brother Damien VanMatre; her niece Elizabeth Gray (Damon); her close friends, Tammy Morrison and Sheri Tulowitzky; and her pet Jake.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Madison County Humane Society in memory of Michelle.
