He was predeceased by: his parents, William Buck and Dorothy Green Buck; his wife Joyce Ferrell; and his brothers-in-law, David Markwell and Tom Ahlers.

He is survived by: his siblings, Connie Markwell Ahlers, Jim Buck (Mary), Robert Buck (Rita) and Don Buck (Barbara); his nieces and nephews, Amy Layton (Darryl), Janet Erlandson, Jamie Johnson, Aaron Markwell (Juli), Brian Buck and Justin Buck; his brother Rick; and his aunt Lucille Clark Segal.
