Max E. Burton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 5, 2024, at the age of 84, Max E. Burton of Anderson, Indiana passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Max E. Burton to pay them a last tribute.
Though Max may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Max touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Verlin E. Burton and Hazel P. Burton (Benefiel); his wife Melanie Bilbrey; and his sister Carolyn Hilligoss. He is survived by: his children, LaKelia Hunter (Gary), Max E. Burton, II (Amy), Tony Burton (Brenda) and Vaughn Burton; and his stepson Christopher Smith. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Anderson Fire Department for the Fill the Boot Campaign or the Madison County Humane Society.
