She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Grimes and Robert Grimes; her husband Arnold Smith; her granddaughter Casey; and her siblings, Bob, Bill, Jack, Harry, Dorothy and Marge.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Frey (Robert) of Merrillville and Mark Smith (Vicki) of Anderson; and her niece Ann Griner. She is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1115 Pearl St, Anderson, IN 46016). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Holy Cross School in Anderson.
