She was predeceased by: her husband Gene Austin; her adoptive parents, Charles Harvey and Freda Peacock; her parents, John Rowland and Mea Rowland Byrd; her stepfather Jim Byrd; her brothers, Johnny, Virgil, Ronnie, Gary and Eugene Rowland; her stepsiblings, Pauline Byrd and Charles Byrd; her nephew Virgil R. Rowland; and her stepdaughter Brenda Jean Austin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa Lovell (Jay) and Tammie Claywell (Brian); her siblings, Shirley Bailey and Randy Rowland (Bruce Allen); and her stepsiblings, Judy Marshall, Bonnie Gibson, Diane Wines, Frankie Byrd and Henry Byrd. She is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Peace Church (900 W Hickory St, Union City, IN 47390).
