He was predeceased by: his parents, G. Noble Higgins and Virginia Higgins (Fite); his former wife Cathy Higgins (Burkhardt); and his son Jamey Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Mary Higgins (Crouch); his sons, Aaron Higgins of Anderson and Scott Higgins (Stacie) of Anderson; his stepchildren, Chris Gibson (Mandy) of Germantown, OH, Carrie Gibson of Anderson and Jessica Bartel (Jeff) of Markleville; his grandchildren, Josh Higgins, Jourdan Higgins, Richie Haley (Shaylie), Logan Haley, Scotty Higgins, Devan Harris (Landon), Aubrey Higgins, Caden Gibson, PJ Corsoro, Connor Higgins, Aidan Bartel, Ryan Corsoro and Bryson Gibson; his great grandchildren, Cartter Beane, Adalyn Beane, Kinsley and Adalynn Haley; and his close friends, Ron and Brenda Kinsey.
