He was predeceased by: his parents, Moin Lawson and Betty Lawson (Blume); his sister Sondra Kellermeyer; and his son-in-law James Welch III. He is survived by: his wife Karen Lawson (Huston) of Anderson; his children, Bryan Lawson (Tracy) of Spencer, Robert Lawson (Anna) of Hope, Lorrie Huffman (Mike) of Bloomington, Brad Lawson (Momi) of Arizona, Jeff Lawson (Shelly) of Anderson, Jennifer Welch of Anderson and Susan Bozell (Todd) of Lapel; his brother Jim Lawson (Jennifer) of Tipton; his mother-in-law Marilyn Huston of Anderson; his grandchildren, Samantha Lawson, Hunter Lawson, Hayden Lawson, Maria Lawson, Alison Ballman (Zoul), Joshua Grubb (Brooke), Lika Lawson, Ryan Lawson, Madison Lawson, Brandon Welch, Noah Bozell (Hailey) and Luke Bozell; his close friend Lawrence Johnson; and his pet Piper. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
