He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca Gillengerten (Mark); his grandchildren, Nicholas Sparks, Victoria Sparks, Charles Sparks and Peter Sparks; and his stepgrandson Aaron Pyle. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
