It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Roscoe Swafford of Anderson, Indiana, born in Livingston, Tennessee, who passed away on November 25, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Swafford and Clannie Mae Swafford (Sutton); and his siblings, Robert, Roy, Ray Swafford and Reba Jernigan.
He is survived by: his wife Martha A. Swafford (Brooks) of Anderson; his children, Stephen Carpenter of Grand Rapids, MI and Lisa Zaborski (Paul) of Battle Creek, MI; and his grandchildren, Zach Conley, Kyle Carpenter, Kenzie Carpenter, Kiara Carpenter and Keegan Carpenter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
