With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Clifford Childers of Anderson, Indiana, who passed away on June 8, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his close friend Tony McLaughlin of Troy, Missouri.. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Childers (Unger); his children, Melissa Childers of Indianapolis, Jason Childers (Andrea) of Oswego and Jon Childers (Heidi Gillig) of Milford; his grandchildren, Marin of Oswego, Jackson of Oswego and Cullen Childers of Oswego; his brother Dr. Edward Childers (Phyllis); and his niece Annette Childers of Corrales.

Memorial contributions may be given to Bethany Christian Church or A Heart For Kids.

“Jerry always had a smile for everyone. He pretended to be a tough guy but was gentle at heart. We will his voice singing in the pew behind us. But if by chance we sat behind him and Pam, I would snap his suspenders. I just know there is an angel sitting behind him in Heaven taking over my job. Jerry, we will miss you but we know you are in a better place now.”
