He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Mier and Florence Allen (Mier); his daughter Jamie Black; his siblings, Jim, Bob Hunter, Martha Ousley and Marilyn Galmore; and his pet Sadie.
He is survived by: his son Jason Mier of Anderson; his grandchildren, Tristen Mier (Maggie) of Bloomington, Bentley Mier of Anderson, Madelyn of Chesterfield, Azaira Black of Anderson and Jadelyn Jones (Marcus) of Concord; his great grandchildren, Ricco and Mila of North Carolina; his sisters, Margaret Stofflet of Anderson and Bonnie Baker of Shepherd Hills, Florida; his friends, Bobby Jo Stewart of Chesterfield and Gene Lewis of Chesterfield; and his pets, Biscuit and Cupcake. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given to Union Township Volunteer Fire Department.
