It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jason Robert Merz of Anderson, Indiana, born in Muncie, Indiana, who passed away on September 20, 2021, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Bob, Betty Merz, Helen and Jesse DeVaney; and his mother-in-law Norma Mitchell (Hutson).
He is survived by: his parents, Larry Merz and Sandy Merz (DeVaney); his wife Melissa Merz (Mitchell); his children, Hutson and Kynslee; his sister Aimee Vorhees (Brien); and his father-in-law Gerald Mitchell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hutson and Kynslee's college savings account through the funeral home or to the National Kidney Foundation.
