He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Richard Hines, Carl McCann and Leon Sides. He is survived by: his parents, Everett Sides and Virginia Sides (Hines); his siblings, Along, Richard Sides (Ingrid) and Susan Billing (Jim); his nieces and nephews, Owen Sides, Bailey Casada, Abigail Billing and Matthew Billing; and his grandmothers, Edna Hines and Zelpha McCann. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association in Jimmy's memory.
