With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Leroy Benefiel Jr. of Anderson, Indiana, who passed away on November 4, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leroy Benefiel Sr. and Nellie Benefiel (Skaggs); and his sisters, Virginia McCaslin and Georgia Bowman. He is survived by: his children, Jan Damelio (Mike) of Venice, FL, Rhonda K. Benefiel of Midwest City, OK and Bruce A. Benefiel (Renee) of Pendleton; his grandchildren, Joshua Kapfhamer, Heather Hernandez (Ryan Hayes), Shane Benefiel, Rachel Postlethwaite, Ridge Postlethwaite, Bailey Kindler (Zaye) and Jordan Benefiel; his great grandchildren, Blakely Benefiel, Brooks Benefiel and Rosalie Hayes-Hernandez; his nephew Mark Bowman (Lori); and his former wife Vera Benefiel.
