He was predeceased by: his parents, George Stephens and Ruth Stephens (Cohen); his wife Sandy Helsley Edwards; and his siblings, Peggy, George, Butch and Ronnie.

He is survived by: his children, Theresa Huberty (Gregg), Mark Edwards (Paula) and James Michael Edwards (Jennifer); and his siblings, Larry Stephens and Pam Gouker. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
