He is survived by: his wife Irma Hughes (Smethers) of Anderson; his daughter Kellee Hays of Ijamsville, MD; his sister Patricia Riggs of Anderson; and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Amelia and Charlie Hays of Ijamsville, MD.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
