She was predeceased by: her son Rick Huffman. She is survived by: her husband Larry Simpson; her sisters, Carolyn Peckinpaugh and Katie Woods; her children, Lisa Malston (Jeff), Sheri Simpson and Kim Short (Chuck); her siblings-in-law, Chuck Spaulding and Aloma Colbert; and her pet Logan. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Irene's memory, may be made to the Madison County Humane Society.
