She was predeceased by: her spouse Jerry W. Marshall; her parents, Howard Waymire and Ina Waymire (Redic); her son Christopher A. Hurst; and her pet Josie.
She is survived by: her daughter Shelly Hurst-Baker; her grandchildren, Brittney Shoemaker (Justin Cook) and Brady M. Baker of Anderson; her great grandchildren, Drew Shoemaker of Anderson, Alex Shoemaker of Anderson, Hunter Cook of Anderson and Ilaria "Lilly" Baker of Anderson; her sons, Lj Mechem (Melanie) of Anderson and Michael Mechem (Renee) of Nevada; and her sister Pamela Jackson of Anderson. She is also survived by many extended family members and special friends.
Memorial contributions in Gloria's name may be gifted to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
