He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Leroy and Sara Katherine Shinabarger (Pierce); his sister Marie Mitchell; and his granddaughter Rebekah Shinabarger. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Curt (Nancy), Mark and Susan Woolf (Derrick); and his grandchildren, Rachel, Nathan (Shannon), Noah (Carol), Elizabeth Trautman (Grant) and Emma Woolf.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or First Baptist Church.
