He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Keith and Ruth Dodd, Sr. (Staton); and his siblings, Barbara Baker and Larry Dodd. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Doris Dodd (Knotts) of Anderson; his children, Diana Horn (Dennis) of Naples, Florida, Gary Dodd of Anderson and David Dodd (Elizabeth) of Pendleton; his grandchildren, Derek Horn (Meg) of Indianapolis, Dena Dennis (Allix) of Milledgedeville, Georgia, Adam Dodd of Indianapolis, Lauren Dodd (Chantz Hodson) of Anderson, Daniel Dodd of Anderson and Kenzie Dodd; his great grandchildren, Evan, Abigail, Addison, Avery, Cambreigh, Everleigh and Archer; his sister Phyllis Lollar (John) of Anderson; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Dodd of Anderson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bethany Christian Church or Heartland Hospice.
