He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy M. Patterson (Dottie); his parents, Fredrick Ishmeal Patterson and Lois Dole Gillman; his stepmother Mary Lou Patterson; his sisters, Sheryl Walters and Debbie DeKeleita; and his son-in-law Jeff Pickett.
He is survived by: his children, Janine Pickett (Anderson), Twila Jackson Markleville (Jeff), Sandy Hughes and Michael J. Patterson Brownsburg (Gretchen); his brother Dick Patterson (Donna); his grandchildren, Carissa Jackson, Eric Jackson, Brittny Pickett, Dustin Pickett (Emily), Tina Conklin (Jon) and Jennifer Hooker (Tom); and his great grandchildren, Karmin Streaty, River Pickett, Juniper Pickett, Koa Pickett, Abby Jackson, McKenzie Scherzinger and Michael Hooker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
