He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Lewis of Anderson; his daughter Barbara J. Alder of Anderson; his grandchildren, Michael E. Alder (Amye) of McCordsville and Lauren N. Alder of Greenfield; his brother Bob Alder (Marilyn) of Lake Wylie, SC; his daughter-in-law Carla Haston (Terry) of Greenfield; and his nephews, Robert Alder, Jr. (Michelle) of Independence, MO and William (Ginny Odekirk) of Manitou Springs, CO..
