He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Gwinnup and Helen Noel (Sample); his wife Barbara; his stepbrother James Gwinnup; and his grandson Liam Gwinnup.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Gwinnup, Jr. (Jody), Bruce Gwinnup, Stephen Gwinnup (Sheri), Laura Collier (John) and Julie Derucki (John). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
