He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse L. Rainer and Marie Rainer (Coburn); and his brother Richard L. Rainer. He is survived by: his friend Sheri Lycan; and his sisters, Deloris Myers (Johnny) and Jo Allen Comer. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Southdale Church of the Nazarene.
