Delores Teter Obituary

Delores Teeter, 84, Anderson, passed away March 19, 2023, at her residence.

Born January 4, 1939, in Middletown, Indiana, she was a 1957 graduate of Middletown High School. She was a homemaker.

Delores enjoyed golf and bridge and was a member at Edgewood Country Club for many years. She was a Christian and attended First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sons Scott Teter of Florida and Barry Teter of Anderson; grandchildren Benjamin Teter, Bailey Teter, Dr. Gabrielle Teter DVM (Andrew Smith), and Zoe Teter; great-grandson Mason. Also surviving are her brother Tony Gavin (Linda) of Anderson, nephews Mike Dellinger (Veronica) and Jay Dellinger, all of Middletown; nieces Jami Gavin of Anderson and Jennifer Sabean of Indianapolis; and several additional family members. She was blessed with and is survived by many special friends including her best friend of many years, Nicki Ross.

She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Lucille (Haynes) Gavin, twin sister Diane Dellinger, and brother-in-law Larry "Pooch" Dellinger.

The family offers special thanks to Delores' in home caregivers Sharron Escalante and Lisa Jones.

Cremation will take place. There will be no public service.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, The American Heart Association, or a charity of the donor's choice in memory of Delores.
