He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Spillman and Joseph W. Spillman; his children, David Spillman (Anita Gilley), Debra Hall and Bob Gilley; and his sisters, Diana L. Spillman and Sandra Spillman.

He is survived by: his wife Ellen Spillman; his children, Joseph Spillman (Michelle) of Amy Spillman, J. R., John Gilley (Teresa) and Jo Baker; and his close friends, Lori and Darrin. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Shelter.
