He was predeceased by: his father Gary Layton. He is survived by: his wife Amy Jo Markwell; his children, Zane Layton, Dustin Berry and Cydnie Layton; his stepson Corbin Smith; his mother Donna Mills; his sister Kim Layton-Champlin (Jennifer Thomason); his mother-in-law Connie Markwell Ahlers; his brother-in-law Aaron Markwell (Juli); his niece Tabitha Martinez; and his nephews, Cory Merkle, Shad Markwell (Dani) and Tory Markwell. He is also survived by four great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made out to Heartland Hospice.
