With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Christina Marie Mapes-Hughes of Anderson, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 6, 2025 at the age of 53. She was predeceased by: her nephews, Brian Crawford and Kevin Kirkwood. She is survived by: her parents, Harry and Shirley; her husband Craig; her daughter Kirsten VanMatre; her grandchildren, Lincoln and Ramona; and her siblings, Stephanie Mapes, Harry and Joe Mapes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
