Dawn Barker wrote a sympathy message

“I was very heartbroken to hear about my friend. I’m so very saddened for the family. I met Cherrie 35 yrs ago. when she started dating my best friend since I was 10. They were always a part of my life through some great times and really tough times. Cherrie listened to me when I needed to vent and cry and was a good friend. We watched each other’s babies and watched them grow up to be wonderful young women. Although we all lost touch over time sadly, and hadn’t seen each other in several yrs, I never stopped caring or thinking about them or asking about them. She was a funny, energetic, caring person who loved her family with all her heart. I know Heaven is rejoicing but her loved ones will miss her very much. We will all be together again one day. I’m forever grateful for all kindness you showed me when I needed someone to lean on. I’ll always remember our fun times together. Until we meet again, watch over us down here Ree. See you on the other side. ?? May God be with you all through your time of grief and give you comfort and peace. ??”
