With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles H. Smith of Anderson, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on January 25, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Louise R. Smith; his parents, Julia Heil and Ernest Smith; and his brother Donald Smith. He is survived by: his children, Marta Smith, Michelle Phillips, Tara Smith, Debbie Dilley and Jeffrey Smith; and his sister Marcia Caruthers. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
