She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Pavlik and Rheta Scarpula; her stepfather Charles Scarpula; and her stepson Monte Dowden. She is survived by: her husband Raymond Dowden; her sons, Paul Patton, John Patton, Kenneth Dowden (Jenny) and Edward Patton; her stepchildren, Marte Dowden, Lorrie Moore and Douglas Dowden; her nieces, Carol Willhoit and Bobbie Clelland-Smith; and her nephew Steve Rumler. She is also survived by several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
