She was predeceased by: her parents, Kit Columbus and Ruthie King (Bilbrey); her son Tony Vandever; and her brothers, Bethel King, Claudie King, Boyd King, Barney King, Roland King and Truman King.
She is survived by: her husband Neal Vandergrift of Anderson; her children, Tami Swearingen (Shawn) of Muncie, Jason Vandergrift of Anderson and Christopher Vandergrift (Julie) of Fortville; her daughter-in-law Carrie Vandever of Crossville, TN; her mother-in-law Ladonna Vandergrift; and her siblings-in-law, Betty Jean King of Alabama, Paula King of Anderson, Linda King of Anderson, Karen Hoopingarner (Alan) of Anderson and Mark Vandergrift (Beth) of Anderson. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the East Maplewood Cemetery Chapel (200 College Dr, Anderson, IN 46012).
