She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Thompson Sr.; her son Fred Thompson, Jr.; her parents, Robert Rice and Mary Jane Rice Merrill; her siblings, Tom Merrill, Larry Merrill, Betty Hathcoat, Wilbur Merrill, Raymond Merrill and Don Merrill; her granddaughter Christi Thompson Hart; and her great grandchild Jamie Lynn Thompson.
She is survived by: her daughter Nancy Burke (Edward); her siblings, Mary Zachary (Bob) and Freddy Merrill (Virginia); her grandchildren, Kevin Thompson, Kelli Thompson Whitehead (Jerry O'Bryant), Jason Thompson (Lori), Jama Burke, Rhonda Elliott Estes, Richard Elliott, Robert Elliott and Scott Burke (Elena); her great grandchildren, Ryan Whitehead (Erika), Austin Thompson, Carmon Elliott, Cody Estes, Crystal Elliott and Mila Burke; her great great grandchildren, Sadie Whitehead, Riggs Whitehead, Colton Calahan, Christian Dawson, Chloe Dawson, Zoe Estes, Logan Estes and Colton O'Bryant; her daughters-in-law, Sharon Thompson and Donetta McKinnon (Terry); and her daughter Robin Pough. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
