It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Jean Dunson of Anderson, Indiana, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on February 7, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Brooks and Bessie Brooks (Reeder); her husband Hobert "Cliff" Dunson; her sons, James Hopper and Darrell Neff; her son-in-law Franklin Smith; and her siblings, June, Louise, Donna and Roger.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Neff (Myra) of Anderson, Tammy Smith of Anderson and Teresa Hopper of Sharpsville; her grandchildren, Franklin Smith Jr. (Simone) of Germany, Selenia (Ozzie Velasquez), Amy Bair (Joshua) and Daniel Smith; and her great grandchildren, Dustin, Hailey, Tabea, Charleen, Jake and Alexandra. She is also survived by four great-great-grandchildren.
