With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Short of Anderson, Indiana, born in Portland, Indiana, who passed away on June 15, 2023 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Bickel and Ardis LeMaster Bickel; and her sister Carolyn Sue Bickel. She is survived by: her husband Alvin "Lonnie" Short; her daughters, Autumn Short (Trevor Rich) and Lonnita Neblett (Nathanial); her stepchildren, Lori Wright, Lonnie Short II (Camille), Tara Short and Nickelette Spencer; her grandchildren, Riven Clark, Bentley White, Zachary Garrett, Alaina, Samuel, Joseph and Matthew Neblett; her brothers, Mark Bickel and Richard Bickel; and her nephews, Andy Bagienski, Joshua Bickel and Keith Bickel. She is also survived by 12 step grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren.
