She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Mathews and May Mathews (Demaree); her husband Paul Downey; her siblings, Freedith Lindfors, Marshal Mathews, Aldean Williams and Walter Mathews; and her great grandchildren, Jeremiah Martin and Nathan Beitz.

She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Lawther (Paul), Kathleen Brown (Steve) and Coleen Julian (Bob); her sister Ione Rogers; her grandchildren, Mike Lawther (Donna), Scott Lawther, Shelley Fisher-Chapman, Kent Watson (Jenny), Rob Fisher (Claudia), Andy Anderson (Ivonne), April Beitz (Jeff) and Todd Brown (Cristina); her great grandchildren, Baylee Robertson (Brian), Jordan Worley (Riley), Brandan Chapman, Austin Chapman, Lucas Fisher (Fisher), Tyler Watson, Kailyda Anderson, Katiawna Anderson, Jack Brown, Lucy Brown, Lauren Beitz and Amanda Paddock (Landon); her close friends, Buzz and Marsha Anderson; and her caregivers, Missy and Brinkley.
