She was predeceased by: her parents, Alwaine Brooks and Ethel Brooks (Cowan); and her husband Jeremiah Mathias. She is survived by: her children, Diane Fortner, Donnie Fortner, Greencastle of Angela Cyphers, TN, Larry Fortner, Linda Kenworthy (Rady), Danny Fortner, Harold Fortner and Orland Cyphers; and her siblings, Billy, Jack, Joe, Kenneth Brooks and Martha Harrell. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
