It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pearline Shafer of Amboy, Indiana, born in Miami, Indiana, who passed away on June 13, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Allen and Thelma Powell Allen; and her brother-in-law Sam Sommers. She is survived by: her husband Lorn Shafer; her children, Marcia Payne (Randy) of Peru, Sharon Ohman (Rick) of Walton and Russell Shafer (Brenda) of Amboy; her grandchildren, Cory Shafer (Abby), Kayla Thrush (Michael), Cody Shafer (Jordan), Cole Shafer, Owen Ohman and Evan Ohman; her great grandchildren, Braden Thrush, Brody Shafer, Jaxon Shafer and Blake Shafer; and her sisters, Thanet Sommers of Amboy and Janet Layman (Gene) of Peru.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home to the Amboy Volunteer Fire Department or the Miami County Helping Hands.
