She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene G. McDaniel and Betty Jane Cook McDaniel; her husband Harry Smith; her children, Mark Gaffney and Deborah E. Bowland; her brother David McDaniel; and her grandson Nicholas Smith.

She is survived by: her brother Roy McDaniel (Laurie) of Panama City, FL; and her children, Christine Saylors (Richard) of Converse, Charles Smith (Brandi) of Amboy and Harry Smith (Darsci) of Amboy.
