He was predeceased by: his parents, William Robert and Anna McDaniel Himes (Auler); his stepmother Etta Jane McDaniel; and his siblings, Rebecca McDaniel, Christina Garner (Loren), Rita Stump (Max), Larry McDaniel (Esther), Danny McDaniel and James D. McDaniel.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy King (Harvey) of Metamora, Amy Gaines (Brett) of Summitville, Brent McDaniel (Cathy) of Summitville, Kent McDaniel (Angela) of Anderson and James McDaniel (Lisa) of Show Low; and his siblings, Robert "Bob" McDaniel of Osage and Paula McGillis of Anderson. He is also survived by 16 Grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
