He is survived by: his wife Karen Custer (Faust); his children, Drake Custer and Anna Slinker (Brandon); his mother Betty Sue Custer; his siblings, Austin Custer (Vicki), Tony Custer (Bobbie Kannady), John Custer (Denise) and Gina Jarnecke; and his siblings-in-law, Erick Faust (Laura), Kristen Ogle (Mark), Heidi Hogshire (Jim) and Becky McClain (Kevin). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
