With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steven Vernon Smith (Alexandria, Indiana), who passed away on July 18, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Smith and Virginia Smith (Scantland); his brother Lawrence Smith; and his friends, Michael Gillard and Dennis Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Marie Smith (Ashby); his children, Stephanie Roberts (Nicholas) of Frankton and Aaron (Briana); his grandchildren, Aaliyah Smith (Ashley) of Alexandria, Makayla Morrison of Frankton, Ethan Smith of Pendleton and Zachary Smith of Pendleton; his siblings, Michael Smith of Anderson, Bryan Smith of Mississippi and Debra Smithson (Craig) of Alexandria; his siblings-in-law, James Ashby (Deb) of Pierceton, Keith Ashby (Vicky) of Lake Placid, Florida, Nancy Ashby (Kettery) of Alexandria and Brenda Ashby (Street) of Alexandria; and his son Steven. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
