He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest "Bud" Tanner and Faye Tanner (Vermillion); and his sisters, Mary Carson, Jane Wood and Betty Parks.
He is survived by: his wife Vada Tanner (Snapp); his sons, Cris Tanner (Missy) and Brian Tanner; his grandchildren, Rachel Severn and Brian Mitchell Tanner II; his great grandchildren, Savannah Severn and Cole Severn; and his sister Ruth Leakey.
