He is survived by: his wife Vada Tanner (Snapp); his sons, Cris Tanner (Missy) and Brian Tanner; his grandchildren, Rachel Severn and Brian Mitchell Tanner II; his great grandchildren, Savannah Severn and Cole Severn; and his sister Ruth Leakey.
